Operation Transformation

Scrunch it UP

I have recently been making some scrunchies for my Etsy shop and then a few months ago I was altering a prom dress for one of my son's friends, it was way too long. Anyway, with the remnants I made her some matching roses on hair grips from the material (for prom), but I had more left, so made them into scrunchies as a reminder of her special day!

Cuddle UP teddy bear

A couple of years ago my daughter was away at University and was missing home. I had previously made her some cozy pajamas for a Christmas present, that she no longer wore, but didn't want to throw away. I turned them into a keepsake teddy bear which I sent to her at University as a piece of home. As you can see, it has been well-loved!

Dolly dress UP

Another oldie, this dress was made with the same fabric (and in the same design) that I made my daughter's first communion dress. I also make the rosary beads for dolls for sale on my jewelry shop on Etsy, CrafticityGEM. I think it made her day even more special. It could also be done for other occasions, like special birthday parties or if they are a bridesmaid or pageboy or mini grooms man!

Paged UP

My daughter and I both love to read, so we are always looking for bookmarks. I decided to combine my love for sewing and my love for books with another reminder of my own, the lace on these books was leftover from the lace jacket and skirt inset from my wedding dress.

Little shirt UP

Although they are not needed yet in my family, these cute little outfits are made from some of my husband's old shirts. Wouldn't it be great to make an outfit like this from one of his parents or grandparents clothes, especially for a special occasion?

UPdate t-shirt

These t-shirts were old racing tshirts which I still loved but never wore. Now they are comfy joggers to sit at home and watch the race in!
