Roll it UP
These reusable towels are made from brushed 100% cotton flannel and measure 10" x10" square. I am currently looking to move to making these from an even more eco-friendly and sustainable material such as bamboo .They come on a heavy duty cardboard roll so it can be reused over and over. These are made in sets of 12. The towels can be washed and dried on a normal cycle in a washer and dryer. The soft flannel is new and I use a 100% cotton thread to sew them. I decided not to use either metal fasteners, or hook and loop fasteners as these have been know to scratch. So there are no attachments, and they stay on the roll through their general fluffiness and the way they overlap when they are put on the roll.

Cheer UP chores
These dusters come in a packet of 2 and are a sustainable alternative to use and toss duster heads, they can be used and washed and and get more fluffy and pick up mare dust after each wash and dry. They come with a mesh bag to wash them in, as the fraying can get messy otherwise! They are sewn in a way that means they can be put on your existing duster handle in the same way as the use and toss dusters, and are the same size. I ship these prior to washing, they are made from new, but remnant flannel fabric, they should be washed and dried, in the drier, (in the mesh bag) before using as this causes them to be “fluffy”, fraying will occur, as this is part of the design and increases there effectiveness in picking up dust.

Warm UP/Cool down
These heat pads come in 3 sizes and they are filled with a mix of jasmine rice and flaxseed. The bags come with a cover that can be washed separately, in a normal wash cycle. the inner bags are made from plain cotton upcycled or remnant material, thoroughly washed and cleaned, but these should not allowed to get wet and should be spot cleaned only when necessary.
The bags themselves, in addition to the rice and flaxseed mix have herbs and essential oils added for aromatherapy purposes.
cinnamon, rosemary and lavender
These heat packs are great for soothing out aches after a run, laying on your stomach or pelvis when it's not feeling good, helping you sleep and many other purposes. Just give them a quick blast in the microwave to warm them up. Please supervise children.
They can also be placed in a plastic wrap or container (to keep them dry) in the freezer for a couple of hours to be used as a cold pack.

Wrap it UP
These sandwich wraps and snack bags come as a coordinating set. They both have an inside lining which is both food-safe and waterproof. This fabric has been sourced from Wazoodle Fabrics and is eco-friendly. You can read about it on their website. The outer shell fabric is from remnants and cutoffs from other items that I have made or fat quarters for quilting. I try not to use upcycled fabric as I want to ensure the food safety is not compromised by fabric that I don't know the origin of. These items do have some special washing instructions, but they can be washed and reused many times.

No more make UP
These reusable face wipes are made from 2 layers of fabric. The flannel is a brushed 100% cotton and the toweling is, as far as possible, from upcycled, thoroughly cleaned, towels. I am currently looking to move to making these from an even more eco-friendly and sustainable material such as bamboo. The wipes measure from 2.5" - 3" diameter. They come with a mesh bag for washing and they can be washed and dried with your normal load of washing. I also include an upcycled plastic holder for convenience, but of course you can store them however you want.

Lunch is UP
These lunch bags and snack bags come as a coordinating set, some are insulated, and some not. All the lunch bags and snack bags have an inside lining which is both food-safe and waterproof. This fabric has been sourced from Wazoodle Fabrics and is eco-friendly. You can read about it on their website. The outer shell fabric is from remnants and cutoffs from other items that I have made. I try not to use upcycled fabric as I want to ensure the food safety is not compromised by fabric that I don't know the origin of. These items do have some special washing instructions, but they can be washed and reused many times.

Mop it UP
This kitchen wet bag was made to go along with my Roll it UP cloth towels, but can be used for anything wet. The handles can be hung over a rail since the buttons allow them to open, or just put on a hook. The outer shell is some pretty plaid material that I had left over from a suit I made. back when I worked in an office. The inner is from Eco friendly food safe waterproof PUL fabric. I know it doesn't need to be food safe for this purpose, but it was part of what I used for the sandwich wraps, lunch bags and snack bags. I tried to make it so I had no seam at the bottom, so the PUL wasn't punctured by a needle and so the waterproofness was not reduced - I still wouldn't fill the bag with water, but it should work just fine for most things. This bag can also be machine washed with a little care.

Wipe it all UP
I originally made these for my friends as a useful Christmas gift. I liked them so much, I am adding them to my shop. This set is a tea towel, a potholder and a sponge. I make all the items in the set and they are all able to be thrown in with ordinary laundry. The fabric on these is generally new heavy cotton, but occasionally I find some fabric in my donations which is also suitable, such as a heavy cotton tablecloth.
Although the whole set is sustainable, it is nothing new, but I encourage you to use the paper towels less and sustainable items more. The feature I like most about this set is the sponge. It is made with 4 layers, the linen on the outside, an absorbent towel layer sandwiched between and then a scrubber added to the front. Yes, this is plastic! but it is that plastic that you get in the grocery store when you buy prebagged produce. I think it is such a smart way to use those. These are some of the worst culprits in hurting wildlife when they are not disposed of properly, as they can get tangled aroung fish and animals really easily. The potholder is 3 layers and there is a fabric called insulbrite in the center, which is insulating against heat whether you are using it to gratb a pot or as protection for your table.

CUP cover
This is my latest sustainable item. I recently was part of a summer snail mail group, and I went a little overboard, but I really enjoyed myself making these and some other items. These are reversible holders for hot and cold cups. they are not insulated, but one side is upcycled from denim jeans, which is probably as insulating as the cardboard throwaway holders you of often get in cafes and coffee shops. the other side is made from material scrap that I have always got around my studio. Today, as society becomes more aware of how they use recourses, some shops have stopped supplying these items, so one of these can always by folded up in your bag purse or car ready to use whenever you need it, or all the time!
