Upcycling
StepUP Baby shoes
Baby shoes - the cutest! these were upcycled from a linen bedcover and some remnant flannel fbric. My niece's little baby had a similar pair, so I just made up a pattern, added a few extras and this was the lovely result!

Hold UP bags
I have made tons of different bags since starting this journey. Often I see a bag and want to make it - but there are so many bags around, it takes me a while to actually make the ones that I really like.
This one is my current favorite - HoldUP tassel Texas! There are plenty more designs in my Etsy shop!

Sit UP and Chill - Meditation
My Sit UP and Chill cushions are a meditation zafu. They made from upcycled material - bed linens, table cloths, material remnants and even bandanas. I did a lot of research on fillings for these cushions, and although not the most traditional, I decided to use natural raw wool stuffing. Natural wool has natural anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties. It is naturally both warming and cooling and can be re-fluffed and even washed. It is also light so makes transporting this cushion easy. It avoids the breakdown or buckwheat husks and other fillings and is very comfortable for both short and long periods. My design features a Velcro fastening and so the wool can be removed or re-fluffed with ease., and if you find wool is not your thing, other fillings can be inserted.

DécorUP
Many of my items for upcycling have become décor projects, place settings, picnic sets, hanging pocket storage and my favorite - Hang it UP, a Christmas stocking make from preloved jeans legs and lined with preloved t-shirts, with embroidery and embellishments that make each one unique, I have even made some which have been personalized for friends and family.
Many of these items are included in my Etsy shop.

UPcycling scraps
I recently made my first foray into using my scrap fabric to make new fabric. I chose some of my brightest scraps, quilted them together on fusible fabric that I had in my stash and then made a bag from it. The bag is an updated version of my HoldUP belt bag. I use this bag all the time!

Mat rollUP
I love yoga and previously have featured a great heavy duty versitile yoga mat carrier and I have also made a simple yoga mat strap whith hidden pockets and useful clips. My latest mat carrier is a little bit of botha grat pouch that wraps around the mat and clips it securely in place. Pleanty of options now in my Etsy shop.

Roll UPs
I really enjoy making storage roll up. I have ones for paintbrushes and knitting needles, one for jewelry, one formake upbrushes and my latest is one for travel toiletry items. This last on went with my FillUP pilow, but the pillow sold before I finished the storage roll.

Dress UP
In this section of my upcycling there are many items, some are currently on my Etsy shop. Many of these items could also appear in the Operation transformation page of this site, as examples of what can be done to update your wardrobe or make something sentimental to you have a purpose again. I am featuring my denim Cut UP jacket here. This jacket was in my head for a very long time, before I started on the journey of what is now CrafticityUP, and once I made it, I liked it so much that I wanted to keep making similar items and get other people excited to be part of the upcycling world. I did make a second jacket for my shop. This jacket is partially lined, but I think if I make another in the future, I may fully line it. It took me about 25 hours to make in total, from choosing the materials, cutting and patchworking the pattern pieces and then sewing and finishing it, not to mention the time I spent when making my own version, in picking out suitable patterns and adjusting and combining them to get a design that I really liked.

UPper glass
One of the items I made last year was some Christmas champagne glasses. I got the glasses at a local garage sale and the lady I got the from told me that the set (of 12) were from her own weddig many years ago, Im guessing this lovely lady was in her 80's. Anyway, I promised to give them a new lease of life, so I painted themsome as snowmen, and some as peppermint and holly!
